Yoga
Yoga by Joseph Andreula
Yoga is especially ideal for people that are overweight, elderly, pregnant, or all three. Yoga also promotes a feeling of clarity and serenity -- there's a reason many people who do yoga seem so relaxed and focused. Yoga is open to anyone in any age range, lifestyle and faith. You don't even need to pay for a personal trainer or attend a yoga class either. Yoga is about learning and growing. If your practice has been primarily hatha/physically based, consider trying more meditation and/or breathing (pranayama) programs.
Yoga is a mind-body practice in complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) with origins in ancient Indian philosophy. The various styles of yoga that people use for health purposes typically combine physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation or relaxation. Yoga is also described as a practice for the development of body, mind and spirit. The art of Yoga exists in India for over 5000 years. Yoga is best known as a type of exercise system that stretches and strengthens the body through various poses known as asanas. But yoga goes far beyond just a mere exercise routine.
